MACKA DIAMOND IS GREEN!

MACKA DIAMOND IS GREEN! Macka Diamond's debut album for Greensleeves Records, Money-O! has finally been delivered.

The 20-track disc sees the top female deejay reaching deep into her lyrical machine, delivering the spine-tingling authenticity on matters concerning male and female relationships, that she has become known for.

Over delicate dancehall beats, Macka Diamond gorgeously strips and shines on the fierce cuts “Done Already”, “Mi Nuh Done” (featuring Mad Cobra), the recent chart topper “Bun Him” (featuring Black-er), “Ugly Man”, “Chase Money”, “Tek Con” and “Washing Money Machine”.

The worst thing that Greensleeves did was to have included the non-effective Mr. Tecki Back, Nuh Fren Mate and Lilly. Otherwise, the disc is an easy listening ride for fans who have subscribed to the material that has made Macka Diamond (formerly known as Lady Mackerel) one of the most sought-after female dancehall acts of the day.

Clearly, Macka Diamond knows what the dancehall market subscribes to, though the day is coming when she will need to venture into other subject areas, to display her versatility.

Money-O! is quite daring and the avid dancehall fan will find the tide quite easy to maneuver.
