RITA MARLEY AWARD

RITA MARLEY AWARD Rita Marley has been named by the African Focus Incorporated (AFI) as the 2006 Lifetime Award recipient for her life long devotion and commitment to the less fortunate people of Africa.

The Rita Marley Foundation has contributed to several villages in the Mountains of Ghana with donations of medical and school equipment, a feeding programme and clothing.

Mean while Africa Unite 2006 in celebration of her husband Bob Marley’s birthday was held this February in the Ghanaian cities of Kumasi and Accra.

Other African Goodwill Ambassador award winners include Dr. Sam Yoon, the late Johnny Cochran and her Excellency First Lady Mrs. Eki Igbinadion of Nigeria.

The prestigious award ceremony will take place on April 29, in California.
